Karen is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. She has thirty years’ experience of recruitment and selection, organisation development, graduate career decision making and developing employability in students. In 1998 she set up the National Centre for Work Experience (now the National Council for Work Experience) a government funded initiative to expand quality work experience in the undergraduate curriculum. She has researched and published on selection criteria and successful decision making, on student career needs and on the learning derived from placements.
